- Purchases from participating merchants benefit the Backpack Buddies program of Seabury Hall, started and maintained by the Seventh Grade Class in 2005. Backpack Buddies (of Seabury Hall), modeled after a national program of the same name, endeavors to provide children suffering from poverty with enough food to eat over the weekends. The Seventh Grade Class has selected the children of Makawao Elementary School, who are fed through the reduced lunch program during the week, to be the beneficiaries of the funds generated through SchoolMall.com.
