AboutUs

The Seabury Hall Engineering program is designed to expose students to the field of engineering with hands-on projects. From inception to a final product, students learn what it means to "engineer a solution". Through an interdisciplinary approach, students discover how to plan, research, communicate, and create.

The prevailing theme is in Energy Systems Engineering, with our current emphasis highlighting alternative modes of transportation. During the 2006-2007 school year, the team successfully converted an internal combustion engine car into a fully Electric Vehicle (EV). Projects for this year include another EV conversion, construction of a solar charging garage, and enhancing the performance of the existing EV via a series-hybrid modification.

Our hope is to raise global awareness within our youth and develop leaders who can design and implement energy systems to respond to the worlds growing energy needs.
