Here is a Beautiful Diagram Showing us the Different Parts of the Ribosome....

The mRNA is the messenger RNA strand from the nucleus. It has come to the Ribosome to be made into a protein. The P site is where the transfer RNA molecules go with Amino Acid Attached. The A site is where the next tRNA molecule goes in the string of Amino Acids. The Ribosone itself is mad up of two sub-units. A large and a small. After protein synthesis is done the two sub-units disconect.
