Posted 10/31/2016 11:27AM

There is only one word to describe the performance of the Seabury Hall girls cross-country team at the 2016 Honolulu Marathon Cross Country State Championships this past Saturday at HPA…DOMINATING. The Spartans outclassed the field with all seven runners placing in the top ten in Division 2 – 1st Veronica Winham, 2nd Ava shipman, 3rd Erika Preseault, 4th Darby Mulligan, 8th Kallalei Ryden, & 9th Nanea Haynes! The Spartan girls also captured the overall state title, out pacing the likes of perennial powerhouses Punahou and Iolani in one of the most dominating performances the state of Hawaii has ever seen. Amongst Division 1 and 2 competitors, Veronica Winham won the overall title, finishing 1st, Ava Shipman captured 2nd place, Erika Preseault came in 4th, Darby Mulligan finished 5th, Kallalei Ryden garnered 17th, Nanea Haynes finished 19th, and Chloe Gangnath came in 21st. This is the Spartan’s 5th straight Cross Country Division 2 State Championship. GO SPARTANS!
