Seabury Hall Soccer Camp 2008 - Makawao, Maui, Hawaii Seabury Hall’s Soccer Camp celebrates its 28th year, June 9 – June 13, 2008, of providing Maui’s youth, ages 6 to 15, quality training in soccer fundamentals. Coach Mark Kane, along with a staff comprised primarily of college level coaches and players will again offer basic, advanced and striker/goalkeeper skills training. The camp develops a full range of soccer skills, from passing and dribbling to scoring and heading. Tactical training and skill reinforcement are emphasized during games played in afternoon sessions. Coach Mark Kane holds a USSF A License, NSCAA National Advanced License; as well as an AYSO B Level Certification. He has coached successfully at the youth, high school, college, and adult levels. Coach Kane presently coaches at Hawaii Pacific University. He has received Coach of the Year Honors in the OIA East, for his work with the Castle High Girls’ and Boys’ teams. Regular Camp (ages 6 – 15) is open to all beginners and returning players. The objective will be to provide skills in specific areas on a daily basis, while increasing the level of proficiency over the course of the week. Classroom lectures and films will also be a part of this program. Advanced Camp (ages 11-15) is open to players who wish to develop advanced skills, tactics and overall game understanding. Daily games, small side matches and classroom sessions are combined to provide the motivation and physical challenge essential to develop the serious soccer player. Strikers & Goalkeepers (ages 10-15) Specific training is offered for the offensive and defensive specialist. During the course of the week, strikers and goalkeepers will learn and practice proper techniques unique to their position. Tactical, psychological and physical fitness aspects are also key components of the course.
