Seabury Hall Community,
The Seabury Hall Board of Trustees’ Head of School Search Committee is approaching the end of its four-month long search. The Search Committee received a total of 46 formal applications from international, national and local applicants. Five of these were from the state of Hawaii. The pool was then winnowed down to six semi-finalists, who were all remotely interviewed by the Search Committee. From that group, three finalists were selected.
The three candidates have just finished a series of two-day interviews on our campus, with many community members taking part in these visits. Focus groups of administrators, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and students interacted with the candidates through individual and group meetings to evaluate their fit with Seabury Hall. Impressions of all three candidates’ visits have now been tabulated and forwarded to the Search Committee. During this second week of December, the Search Committee will begin deliberations toward naming a permanent Head of School at Seabury Hall.
A public announcement is expected within the next thirty days. The successful candidate will take office July 1, 2019. The engagement and participation by the school community was awesome. The Board of Trustees and the school administration thank everyone in our school community for their contributions to the process.
