Seabury Hall Performing Arts invites you to spend a clear moonless winter night in Almost, Maine, where the locals fall in an out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. This romantic comedy -- the most produced play last year in American high schools -- takes us into the lives, yards, porches, and skates of nine pairs of lovers on one night around 9 PM under the Northern Lights.
“A whole host of quirks, psychological tics and even magical happenings bloom beneath the snowdrifts”in this cross between Our Townand Northern Exposure, says the New York Times.
Sally Sefton directs a baker’s dozen of student actors, each paired up to fall in or out of love as the evening progresses. Seniors Carver Glomb, Zachary Kubo, and Taylor Takatani join juniors Innes Asher, Tahiti Cabrinha, Caitlyn Campbell, Javi Frith, Malia Jalbert, Aryanna Johnson, Megan Malcolm, and Kimberly Sieberg, while freshmen Preston Summit and Max Tramontin round out the cast.
Andre Morissette leads his Costume Design students in creating the period costumes; set and lights are designed by Todd Van Amburgh.
