When four young women in the 1920s takes jobs painting radium on watch faces, unforeseen consequences develop.

Based on a true story, These Shining Lives “chronicles the strength and determination of women considered expendable in their day. But these survivors refuse to allow the company that stole their health to kill their spirits—or endanger the lives of those who come after them.”
Variety calls the play “an initially comic and ultimately tragic look at how individual women find employment within a system more concerned with profit than safety."
The Washington Post praises its "…subtly stylized language and a sensibility that's delicately oddball, even when probing troubling topics.".
Sally Sefton directs a cast of a dozen student actors. The watch factory workers --  Camille Erdman, Malia Jalbert, Marley Mehring, and Taylor Takitani -- are joined by an ensemble of Innes Asher, Caitlyn Campbell, Javi Frith, Carver Glomb, Hiwa Grieg, Hudson Jackson, Zachary Kubo, and Jena Mukai.
Andre Morissette leads his Costume class students in designing the period costumes; set and lights are designed by Todd Van Amburgh. Molly Schad coaches the singers.
