Seabury Hall's band and chorus will present A Night in Hall-ywood concerts on Thursday, March 30 at 7:00 p.m. and Friday, March 31 at 6:00 p.m. Thursday night will feature the middle and upper school bands. Friday night will showcase the upper and middle school choruses.
On Thursday evening, the middle school Contemporary Music Ensemble will present its take on popular music themes from Hollywood, including Latin and rock and roll songs with the upper school Maunalei Music Ensemble adding touches of modern pop and blues. The audience will enjoy rocking out to well-known movie themes and pop anthems as well as some new-to-the-ear tunes. Seabury Hall’s Ukulele Ensemble will also perform alongside these bands, showcasing a Beatles classic and Hawaiian song.
The musical celebration of Hollywood continues on Friday night, which will feature singers in grades 7-12 performing a wide variety of songs that are sure to delight. From Disney classics to action-packed dramas, this concert has something for everyone and will feature choreography, small group performances, and more.
