Seabury Hall is seeking a full-time mathematics instructor for the 2024-2025 school year. The position includes teaching a full load of classes, potentially ranging from Pre-Algebra to Geometry (grades 6-10), and serving as an advisor to a small group of students. An ideal candidate would have an advanced degree, several years of experience teaching mathematics, and a strong interest in working with students outside of the classroom.
Kumu Hula & Hawaiian Studies Instructor Seabury Hall is seeking a full-time Kumu Hula & Hawaiian Studies instructor for the 2024-2025 school year. The position's primary responsibility is teaching grade level hula for the He Hāʻupu Aloha program and other Hawaiian studies electives such as history and ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi. An ideal candidate would have a minimum of a bachelor's degree.
Part-Time Learning Specialist (Temporary, August - December 2024)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Specialist to provide direct educational support for high school students with a primary focus on enhancing executive function and study skills. This position involves working closely with students during specialized study halls or intervention groups to improve their organizational abilities, time management, task initiation, and overall academic success. The Learning Specialist will also identify and share supplemental resources to enhance students' understanding of various subjects.
The ideal candidate will have experience and training and practices for diverse learners, as well as strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and patience. They will need to be able to implement accommodations and interventions quickly and with limited preparation time. This may include designing graphic organizers, chunking assignments, and facilitating study groups as needs arise.
This position follows an every-other-day schedule (other schedule options will be considered). They will not be responsible for managing learning plans or attending student support team meetings outside of school hours but may regularly communicate with families via email or Blackbaud notices.
