From its beautiful location 2,000 feet above sea level, Seabury Hall commands sweeping views of the island's majestic mountains and the surrounding ocean. Enriched by its natural setting, the school is, in the words of its mission statement, “an inclusive community that prepares students for a successful college experience, fosters a passion for lifelong development of mind, body and character, and inspires responsible citizenship.”
Founded in 1964 as an Episcopal boarding school for girls, Seabury Hall today is a vibrant coeducational college preparatory school serving 510 students in grades 5-12. In the 1970’s the school accepted boys, and in the late 1980’s it eliminated the boarding program to focus exclusively on serving Maui. The school is widely perceived as the preeminent college preparatory school on Maui and one of the leading schools in the state of Hawaii. From a robust arts and athletic program to challenging academics, Seabury Hall’s mission is on display every day. The engine that helps bring the mission alive is the close relationships between teachers and students and an intentional effort to promote a sense of community. A testament to the school’s outstanding reputation is its induction into the Cum Laude Society and its selection as Hawaii’s Malone Family Scholarship School. With its strong program and diverse population of students and faculty, Seabury Hall plays a vital role in the educational and cultural landscape of Maui.
“Seabury Hall has a palpable school culture of communication, collaboration, creativity, and innovation that is evident in student behavior in and out classrooms, as well as exhibited by the faculty and staff. The school nurtures a love for learning that encourages faculty and students to explore new ideas with open minds and to follow individual passions.” - Western Association of Schools and Colleges Accreditation Report
