Seabury Hall is actively recruiting a Head Coach for the Middle School track and field team. The Head Coach should inspire, motivate, encourage, and develop each student-athlete while teaching contemporary techniques, rules, and strategies for track and field. The Head Coach will promote and model sportsmanship, foster a positive and supportive team atmosphere and develop a team system based on the unique ability of each student-athlete. The ideal candidate will have most, if not all the following characteristics:
Previous experience coaching a track and field team in an educational setting
Effective communication skills and strong organizational skills
Physical ability to demonstrate positions usual to the sport
A positive and effective track record of coaching performance
Must possess a patient, positive and proactive attitude in dealing with students and parents
Encourage the highest standards of conduct and scholastic achievement among all athletes
Proactively portray a positive image of sports team in the community
Compensation: Dependent on experience and qualifications
Work Hours: Monday through Friday late afternoons, occasional weekends
Season: February to April
