Seabury Hall Parent Organization
SEABURY HALL PARENT ENGAGEMENT
Seabury Hall is more than a school. It is a community, and our parents are an important part of what makes that community special.
There are countless ways to be part of your child’s Seabury Hall experience. You might cheer from the sidelines at an athletic event, see your child perform on stage, help at a school celebration, share a professional skill with students, meet other parents over coffee, or lend a hand behind the scenes. Some families have time to volunteer regularly, while others may only be able to help once or twice a year. Every contribution matters.
The Seabury Hall Parent Organization (SHPO) includes every current Seabury Hall parent and guardian as a member. SHPO works to strengthen our school community, support Seabury Hall’s mission, enhance communication, and create meaningful opportunities for parents to connect with and support our students, families, faculty, and staff.
The Craft Fair is one of the best examples of what our parent community can accomplish when we come together. Hundreds of parents volunteer their time and talents, with parent leaders coordinating the many committees and teams that bring the event to life. Together, they welcome thousands of community members from across Maui while supporting one of Seabury Hall’s most important financial aid efforts. GET CONNECTED
We know every family has different schedules, interests, and talents. You do not have to take on a big commitment to be involved. GET CONNECTED makes it easy to find opportunities that fit your life.
We invite every parent to find at least four ways to connect with the Seabury Hall community throughout the year, plus one Craft Fair shift. These connections can look different for every family. You might volunteer at an event, support athletics or performing arts, attend a parent education evening, help with a special project, share a skill or talent, or simply lend a hand when your child’s school community needs you.
The goal is not simply to fill volunteer spots. It is to get to know the people, programs, and traditions that make Seabury Hall special—and to find your own place within the community.
Throughout the school year, check GET CONNECTED for opportunities to contribute your time, talent, or treasure.
TIME- Volunteer at school events, support athletics and performing arts, help with special projects, or lend a hand when your schedule allows.
TALENT- Share a skill, profession, hobby, cultural knowledge, or area of expertise with our students, families, or school community.
TREASURE- Support Seabury's student programs through donations, fundraising, merchandise purchases, or contributions of needed supplies and resources.
WAYS YOU CAN BE INVOLVED
Faculty & Staff Appreciation Committee
Help us celebrate and thank the faculty and staff who make Seabury Hall such a special place for our students. Opportunities include holiday appreciation, Teacher Appreciation Day in May, and our Secret Angel program, which provides small gifts of encouragement to faculty and staff throughout the year.
Special Events
Be part of the traditions that bring our community together. Help with events such as the Shakespeare Festival, Seabury Hall-iday, Pa’ina Party, Morning Coffee hours, and other community gatherings throughout the year.
Athletics & Performing Arts
Support our students beyond the classroom by volunteering as an athletic team parent, helping with performances, building sets, sewing costumes, assisting backstage, or lending a hand with other program needs.
Craft Fair
Be part of one of Seabury Hall’s largest community efforts. Parent leaders coordinate approximately 20 committees and hundreds of volunteers to bring the annual Craft Fair to life. Whether you take a leadership role or simply sign up for a shift, your help makes this signature event possible and supports an important source of funding for financial aid.
