Seabury Hall is proud to launch the inaugural Steve Colflesh Classic Girls Volleyball Preseason Tournament, honoring Steve Colflesh— the man who helped put Seabury Hall Athletics on the map. For more than 30 years, Steve’s leadership, vision, and integrity shaped Seabury Hall athletics into what it is today. 

As athletic director, coach, and mentor, he emphasized that true success was measured by lessons learned and memories made, not just championships.

At the Steve Colflesh Classic, our mission is to help your team create lasting memories— on and off the court. We want every athlete, coach, and family to leave with new friendships, unforgettable experiences, and a deeper love for the game.

This tournament is a celebration of the values he lives every day and the countless lives he continues to inspire along the way.



Tournament Format

  • Pool Play Seeding

  • Single-Elimination Bracket with Consolation Bracket-including 3rd and 5th place matches

  • 10 total teams– first come first serve

  • All matches at Seabury Hall Gym

  • Guaranteed 6 matches minimum

Seabury Hall is a volleyball powerhouse,  proudly finishing with a 19–1 record for the season, placing second in the state this year with a strong returning roster.

Seabury Hall has hosted the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Classic for the third consecutive year, along with other major tournaments, making it a true hub for high-level athletics in Hawai‘i.

Special Events & Team Bonding

  • Welcome Dinner: Wednesday evening, August 12— a special gathering for all teams, coaches, and families to kick off the tournament.  
  • Team-Bonding Activities: Maui offers endless opportunities for team bonding, from scenic hiking trails to stunning beaches and unique local attractions. Teams are encouraged to explore the island and create unforgettable memories together— discounted rates or coupons for select activities may be available.
  • Social Events: Enjoy fun, organized events throughout the tournament to connect with fellow athletes and coaches.
  • Tournament Table: Complimentary refreshments for coaches and players during matches; additional food and drinks available for purchase on-site.
