More Ways to Connect, Explore, and Belong
At Seabury Hall, student life grows through shared experiences. Students can pursue an interest, connect with people outside their usual circles, take on a challenge, celebrate a tradition, or simply enjoy spending time together.
These experiences give students meaningful ways to participate in school life, discover their strengths, form friendships, and contribute to a community larger than themselves.
Clubs
More Than 30 Ways to Get Involved
Seabury offers more than 30 clubs, reflecting the wide range of interests, talents, and ideas students bring to campus. Supported by faculty advisors, clubs give students opportunities to collaborate, create, serve, problem-solve, and explore subjects beyond their classes.
Offerings evolve from year to year based on student interest. Examples have included Robotics Team, CyberPatriot, Science Olympiad, and Seabury Hall Math Team; Theatre Club, Short Film Club, Story Telling Club, and Ukulele Club; Best Buddies, GSA, Art with Heart, Just Serve, and Sending Sunshine; and Aviation Club, Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Club, Mock Trial Club, Sports Broadcasting Club / Seabury Hall Sports Network, and TEDxSeabury Hall Youth.
Whether students are continuing a longtime passion or trying something completely new, clubs help them find people who share their interests and turn curiosity into participation.
House System
Six Houses. One Seabury.
Every student in grades 5–12 belongs to one of six Houses. By bringing together students and advisors from across grade levels, the House System creates opportunities to form new relationships and experience Seabury as one connected school community.
Throughout the year, Houses come together for regular gatherings, Spartan Field Day, lunchtime House Games, team challenges, Spirit Weeks, and schoolwide celebrations. Students earn points by participating, working together, and showing House and school spirit.
Friendly competition brings fun and energy, but the larger purpose is connection. The House System gives students a team to support, helps older and younger students get to know one another, and makes “we over me” part of everyday school life.
Spartan Connect
Lunch Is Better Together
Lunch at Seabury is more than a break in the day. Spartan Connect gives students time to recharge, enjoy great food and music, spend time with friends, and connect through play.
Students might join a game of cornhole, basketball, volleyball, Spikeball, or soccer; sit down for a board game or card game; or take part in one of the rotating competitions and challenges offered throughout the year. Students can also relax, talk, cheer others on, or simply enjoy being together.
Because students connect in different ways, Spartan Connect offers a variety of choices. The result is a lunch period that feels active, welcoming, and shared by the community.
Traditions
Shared Experiences. Lasting Memories.
Traditions give the school year its rhythm and create the moments students anticipate and remember. They strengthen school spirit, connect students across grade levels, and build a shared sense of what it means to be a Seabury Spartan.
Spartan Field Day, Shakespeare Day, Battle of the Books, pep rallies, Spirit Weeks, the Homecoming game and dance, Middle School dances, prom, the Halloween Parade, Trunk or Treat, and Seabury Hall-iday bring students together throughout the year. Sparty, Seabury’s mascot, adds fun and energy to games, rallies, and community celebrations.
The Senior Trip, Senior Night, Senior Lūʻau, and Baccalaureate mark meaningful moments in the journey toward graduation. The Yearbook preserves the people, experiences, and memories that shape each school year.
Character Coins recognize everyday actions that reflect Seabury’s EPIC values of Empowerment, Passion, Integrity, and Curiosity. They remind the community that school culture is shaped not only through major events, but also through the character and care people demonstrate each day.
